Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organising Committee, I invite you to attend the National Scientific Congress of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists to be held in Darwin from Saturday 5th to Tuesday 8th September 2009.

The NSC is to be held at the brand new Darwin Convention Centre at Darwin Harbour, which opened in mid 2008. It will be the centerpiece of an exciting new waterfront development, incorporating hotel and apartment accommodation, harbourside dining, shopping and entertainment venues. An excellent scientific programme is planned, featuring renowned international and local speakers, as well as workshops and PBLD’s on a wide range of topics.

Darwin enjoys beautiful warm weather and spectacular sunsets in the spring. Visitors have the chance to enjoy the vibrant, cosmopolitan city lifestyle of Darwin itself and there are limitless opportunities to experience the world renowned Northern Territory outback.
